Little Sisters of the Assumption Family Health Service

For one day every month, LSA holds an immigration clinic in our Advocacy Program. The clinic is free to people who need help with an immigration question or problem. The Robin Hood Foundation funds the program, which operates at LSA and seven other not-for-profit locations throughout New York City. Legal Aid Society attorneys and paralegals typically see about 14 clients each time. The issues they come with range from help to petition for a family member living abroad to citizenship issues. In 2009, the free immigration clinic has helped 97 people at LSA alone.
