Greenhope's mission is to empower women involved in substance abuse and the criminal justice system to reclaim their lives, reunite with their families, and rebuild their communities.
Founded in 1975, Greenhope Services for Women (Greenhope), located in East Harlem, New York, offers comprehensive residential treatment services, supportive housing, and innovative prevention and outpatient programs to formerly incarcerated women, women referred by the courts as an alternative to incarceration (ATI), and women from the community who require substance abuse services.

Our services include: Residential Treatment Program; Ambulatory Treatment Program; Permanent and Transitional Housing; On-site Medical Services Program; HIV/AIDS services program; Domestic Violence Education and Prevention Program; Family Therapy Program; Aftercare Programs; Alumnae Association.
Programs
Aftercare - Aftercare services are offered to graduates of all of our programs. These services are crucial to the recovery process as they are offered to our clients at a very vulnerable time.
Alternative to Incarceration (ATI) - Greenhope's Alternative to Incarceration programs are designed to assist a woman who has been charged with a crime to secure a non incarcerative sentence.
Parole - Greenhope's parole programs are designed to assist women in reacclimating to society; giving them the tools necessary to live independently without substance abuse, relapse and re-incarceration.
Prevention - For over 25 years Greenhope's expertise has been in the field of women and criminal justice.
Program Services - Greenhope provides services to 42 residential and 70 day treatment/outpatient clients. Greenhope's comprehensive approach to recovery incorporates a variety of academic enrichment and personal development strategies.
